I'm Becoming a Coach. Here's Why

After 15 years of inner work, being coached and building a business that gives me full freedom, I've decided to stop being an amateur at helping people & start doing it for real.

For the past 15 years, I've been doing the work.

Not the external work. The real work.

Working on myself to grow, to let go of the things holding me back, to live better, be more at peace, and raise my consciousness.

I've done deep inner work on my beliefs, my patterns, my fears. I've been in therapy.

And for the past two years, I've been coached by Tristan Vyskoc, one of the best coaches I've met.

That work has changed my life in ways I couldn't have imagined.

What being coached has done for me

The results speak for themselves.

I have more joy and peace in my everyday life. I feel more alive.

I work on my company for around 3 hours a day. And I don't feel guilty about it anymore. That shift alone took years of inner work.

I’m now able to take walks by the ocean at 3pm on a wednesday without an ounce of guilt.

MailReach keeps growing with remarkable results. Two people, no employees, no funding, 3,300+ clients, making money while we sleep. And I can work from anywhere in the world.

I've cut the things that were draining me. I live more intentionally. I'm more present, more aligned, more myself.

None of that came from working harder or performing better. It came from doing the work within.

Life still brings its challenges. I still face hard moments, like everyone. But I feel grounded. Solid. And that makes all the difference.

I've always loved helping people grow

With my friends and the people around me, I've always been the one who listens. Who tries to help. Who asks the deep questions.

For a long time though, I was falling into a savior position. Feeling responsible for the other person's transformation. Carrying their journey as if it were mine.

That doesn't work. And it's not healthy for anyone.

What I know now is different.

Helping someone is accompanying them, not saving them.

And seeing people find their own path, realign with who they truly are, and step into more abundance and joy, that's what gives me the deepest satisfaction.

For a long time, I did this informally, as an amateur.

Now, I've decided to go pro.

P.S. I'm not leaving entrepreneurship behind. Coaching is something I'm building alongside it, not instead of it. I love being an entrepreneur too much to stop that :)

My first client

I'm already working with my first coachee.

She's a brilliant entrepreneur who wants to dramatically increase her annual revenue, reclaim her time, live with more energy and joy, while working less.

That's exactly the territory I know well.

On legitimacy

I don't have a coaching certification yet.

I'm planning to get trained in 2026, most likely with an ICF-accredited program. I take this seriously and I want to do it right.

But I'm not waiting for a certificate to feel legitimate.

15 years of inner work. Regular Buddhist retreats. Daily meditation. Raising my consciousness. And building a bootstrapped company to over 3,300 clients with two people, working far fewer hours than most people imagine is possible.

I'm living what I'll be helping others navigate.

That said, I want the training. Not to validate myself, but to serve my coachees better and not wing it.

Coaching is me being in full alignment

There's a simple truth I've learned about energy.

When you're doing something that's truly yours, you don't spend energy. You gain it. You're in flow.

You feel alive.

That's alignment. And it's rare.

Every coaching session I do fills me up. I leave with more than I started with.

That kind of thing doesn't happen by accident.

In 2026, I've made one commitment: follow my joy. Joy is my compass. My GPS. The most reliable one I've ever had.

Coaching is me following it.

And to be clear: I'm not doing this for the money. MailReach already gives me financial freedom. This is about something else entirely.

Coaching also pushes me. Every session challenges me to grow, to listen deeper, to question my own assumptions.

It pulls me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible. I learn as much from my coachees as they do from me.

That's rare too.

Who I want to work with

I don't want to coach everyone. And I’m not relevant for everyone.

The people I feel most aligned with are those who:

  • Already an entrepreneur. Not dreaming about it, doing it.
  • Already getting results. The business is running.
  • Ambitious about life, not status. Wanting more freedom, more aliveness, more alignment.
  • Ready to do the inner work. Open to questioning their beliefs and doing what it takes.

I don't want plenty of coachees. I'm not looking to fill my agenda.

I want a handful of people I'm genuinely excited to work with. Quality over volume. And I'll say no when the fit isn't right, for both of us.

What I love helping with

These are the areas where I feel most at home as a coach:

• Work less and earn more

• Operate from high energy and alignment

• Build a life with more freedom and joy

That said, coaching is never just a list. Every person brings their own story, and I stay open to wherever the work needs to go.

Final word

I'm on the path. Growing, learning, evolving, every day.

That's actually part of why I'm doing this. Coaching isn't just about what I bring to others. It challenges me too. Every session pushes me to go deeper, to question myself, to grow in ways I wouldn't have otherwise.

I've spent 15 years committed to that growth. And I've seen what it produces in a life.

Now I want to share that journey, alongside the people I work with.

This feels right. Deeply right.

With much love,

Damien
